Assign a user role to a user group

When you assign a user role to a user group, all the users defined in the user group can perform operations authorized for the user role. You can assign roles either at a global level or at a project level.

Navigate to the s00031 Role Assignments screen.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.
In the Role Assignments grid, a blank row is created.

Select the General tab and perform the following:

From the User Group dropdown, select the ID of the required user group.

From the Role dropdown, select the ID of a user role you want to assign to the user group.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s00031 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The role is assigned to all the users in the selected user group.
