A technical deviation is a measured difference between the required and available value. For example, if you need a material of Grade A standard, but the supplier has ready stock of the same material with a different grade, then, the technical deviation is the product condition or a slight change from the documented standard. If a request for quote is pre-awarded with a technical deviation, and is transferred to a Purchase Order (PO) related to an inspection visit, you can view the technical deviation of the PO.

Before you view the technical deviation, ensure the technical deviation is defined in the s50020 Followup on Request for Quote screen.

  1. Navigate to the s52006 Inspection Visits screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the project related to an inspection visit.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Inspection Visit grid, select a row.

  5. On the s52006 menu, in the View Information group, select Technical Deviation.

The d0277 Technical Deviations dialog appears.

In the Material Deviations grid, view the technical deviation details such as technical deviation text, approval status, supplier, and so on.

If no technical deviation exists for the selected inspection visit, a pop-up window appears. Read the message and select Ok.
