Publish an RFQ to the Supplier Portal

When you publish a Request For Quote (RFQ) to the Supplier Portal, the current version of the RFQ is accessible in the Supplier Portal. All the invited suppliers with access to the Supplier Portal can view and respond to the RFQ.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

  • For an RFQ, in the Request for Quote Header grid, in the Invited Suppliers grid, ensure all the required suppliers have access to the Supplier Portal.

  • For an RFQ, in the Invited Suppliers grid, in the Att field, ensure each contact person has a valid email ID.

To publish an RFQ to the Supplier Portal

  1. Navigate to the s50019 Request for Quote screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Request for Quote Header grid, select a row.

  4. On the s50019 menu, in the Publish group, from the Supplier Portal dropdown, select Publish.

    Note: If the quoting process for the selected RFQ is closed, a pop-up window appears. If you want to publish the RFQ as an archive in the Supplier Portal, read the warning message, and then select Yes.

    The d0370 Publish RFQ to Supplier Portal dialog appears.

  5. In the Publish RFQ section, perform the following:

    1. To notify the invited suppliers that the RFQ is available in the Supplier Portal, select the Notify suppliers through email checkbox.

    2. To set an expiry date for the RFQ in the Supplier Portal, from the RFQ to expire at dropdown, select a date.

  6. (Optional) To change the email template, perform the following:

    1. In the Email template field, select Change.

      The d0052 Select E-Mail Template dialog appears.

    2. In the grid, select the required template, preview the Subject and Text of the email, and then select Ok.

      In the d0370 Publish RFQ to Supplier Portal dialog, in the Email template field, the template is updated.

  7. Select Publish.

    The RFQ is published to the Supplier Portal.
