Create a bid open request

Create a bid open request to open a quote submitted by a supplier for a Request For Quote (RFQ). The Bid Open Request functionality is only applicable to RFQs for which the RFQ process is Sealed Bid.

  1. Navigate to the s50020 Followup on Request for Quote screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Request for Quotation grid, select a row.

  4. On the s50020 menu, in the RFQ Requests group, from the Create request dropdown, select Bid Open Request.

    The w013 RFQ Bid Opening Request dialog appears.

  5. In the Select the Quotes To Open page, perform one of the following:

    • To open all the quotes for which the value in the RFQ Follow-up Status field is Complete, select All, and then select Next.

    • To open all the quotes for which the value in the the RFQ Follow-up Status field is marked as Complete before the due date, select All On-time, and then select Next.

    • To select and open a combination of quotes, select Selected Specific Quotes, and then perform the following:

      1. Select Next.

      2. In the grid, select the required quotes, and then select Next.

    • Perform one of the following:

      • For the project related to the selected RFQ, if the approval workflow is created using the Work Tasks approval engine, then from the Approval Group dropdown, select the ID of the required approval group to approve the bid opening request.

      • For the project related to the selected RFQ, if the approval workflow is created using the Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) approval engine, then from the Approver dropdown, select the ID of the required approver to approve the bid opening request.

    • Select Finish.

      In the Details grid, in the Requests tab, in the Requests grid, the new bid opening request appears with the value in the Status field as New.
