A configuration file template is a template used for importing data. For example, you can import a standard material, a drawing part list header, and a drawing part list item, each in a separate file. Additionally, you can modify a configuration file template as per requirements.
Create configuration file templates for a staging area in the location defined in the Configuration Folder field.
-
Navigate to the s22015 Import Staging Areas screen.
-
To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.
-
In the Import Staging Areas grid, select a row.
-
On the s22015 menu, in the Staging Area group, select Create Folders & Config.
A pop-up window appears.
-
Select one of the following:
-
Yes: The first row of the import file is read as the header. The second row, third row, and so on are read as the values of the header.
-
No: All the rows of the import file are read as the values of the header.
-
-
On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The configuration file templates are created for the selected import staging area.
