A configuration file template is a template used for importing data. For example, you can import a standard material, a drawing part list header, and a drawing part list item, each in a separate file. Additionally, you can modify a configuration file template as per requirements.

Create configuration file templates for a staging area in the location defined in the Configuration Folder field.

  1. Navigate to the s22015 Import Staging Areas screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Import Staging Areas grid, select a row.

  4. On the s22015 menu, in the Staging Area group, select Create Folders & Config.

    A pop-up window appears.

  5. Select one of the following:

    • Yes: The first row of the import file is read as the header. The second row, third row, and so on are read as the values of the header.

    • No: All the rows of the import file are read as the values of the header.

  6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

The configuration file templates are created for the selected import staging area.
