Create a project standard text

A project standard text is a piece of predefined content frequently used in a Technical Material Requisition (TMR), a Request For Quote (RFQ), a Purchase Order (PO), a Purchase Agreement (PA), and other documents.

  1. Navigate to the s40004 Project Standard Texts screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the Standard Texts grid, a blank row is created.

  5. Select the General tab and enter the relevant details in the following fields:

    • Standard Text ID: The unique code to identify a standard text.

    • Description: The description of a standard text.

  6. Perform any of the following as required:

    • From the Standard Text Category dropdown, select the ID of the required grouping category.

    • From the Concepts dropdown, select the checkbox of the concepts for which you want to define the standard text.

    • To apply the standard text by default when creating a TMR, RFQ, follow-up RFQ, PO, and PA, select the Default checkbox.

    • To activate the standard text for use throughout AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management, select the Status checkbox.

    • To update the standard content already existing in documents (TMR, RFQ, PO, and PA), select the Update Allowed checkbox

  7. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The project standard text is created.
