Create a unit of measure category

Use a unit of measure category to group different units of measure based on the type or function. For example, you can create a unit of measure category called Length to include all the units of measure related to the length of a material, such as meters (m), centimeters (cm), inches (in), and so on.

1. Navigate to the s00044 Unit of Measure Categories screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Unit of Measure Categories grid, a blank row is created.

4. Select the General tab, in the Unit type Id field, enter the unique ID of a unit of measure category.

5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s00044 Field descriptions.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The unit of measure category is created.
