Create a schedule

Create an inspection schedule to track the inspection progress of a Purchase Order (PO). You can also create an expediting schedule to track the expediting progress of a PO. Before you use a schedule template to create a schedule, ensure the status of the schedule template is Closed. For more information, see Update the status of a schedule template.

Navigate to the s52002 Inspection / Expedite Schedule screen.

In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the required project ID.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.
In the Inspection Schedules grid, a blank row is created.

Select the General tab and perform the following:

From the Schedule Template dropdown, select the ID of a schedule template.

From the Deadline dropdown, select the date by when an inspection or expediting activity related to the schedule is due for completion.

From the (Delivery) Baseline dropdown, select the expected delivery date related to the schedule.

From the (Delivery) Forecast dropdown, select the expected delivery date of the activities in the schedule when the deadlines in the schedule are met.

From the Deadline Float dropdown, select the number of days of float between the deadline and forecast dates for the schedule.

From the Purchase Order dropdown, select the PO related to the schedule.

Perform one of the following:

To create an inspection schedule, from the Schedule Type dropdown, select Inspection.

To create an expediting schedule, from the Schedule Type dropdown, select Expediting.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s52002 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The schedule is created.
