Create a location for a delivery note position

Create a location for a delivery note position. For a delivery note position, if the entered location is inactive then it is activated and if the entered location does not exist then a new location is created.

You can view a list of active and inactive locations in the s60001 Stores and Locations screen.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

1. Ensure you have the Can Create Locations or Full Access UI rights to the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen. For more information on how to define UI access rights, see Assign UI rights to a user role.

2. For a delivery note, in the General tab, in the Receipt Status field, ensure the value is not READY or RECEIVED.

3. For a delivery note, in the Position grid, perform one of the following:

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, in the General tab, in the Site, Storehouse and Location fields, ensure a value is defined, and the Location field shows an error.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type PO/MMT Receipt, in the Po Items tab, in the Po items grid, in the General tab, in the Site, Storehouse and Location fields, ensure a value is defined, and the Location field shows an error.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Shipping Note Receipt, in the Site Transfer tab, in the Site Transfer grid, in the General tab, in the Site, Storehouse and Location fields, ensure a value is defined, and the Location field shows an error.

4. For a delivery note, in the Position grid, perform one of the following:

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type PO/MMT Receipt, in the Po Items tab, in the Po items grid, in the Material Details tab in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

   • For a delivery note of receipt type Shipping Note Receipt, in the Site Transfer tab, in the Site Transfer grid, in the General tab, in the Received Qty field, ensure a value is defined.

To create a location for a delivery note position

5. Navigate to the s60028 Stock item Delivery Registration screen.

6. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

7. In the Delivery Note grid, select a row.

8. In the Position grid, perform one of the following:

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is PO/MMT Receipt, in Po Items tab, in the Po Items grid, select a row.

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is Shipping Note Receipt, in the Site Transfer tab, in the Site Transfer grid, select a row.

   • If the receipt type of the delivery note is Free Receipt, in the Free Issue Material tab, in the Free Issue Material grid, select a row.

9. In the General tab, select the Location field.

10. On the s60028 menu, in the Receipt Locations group, select Create Location.

    A pop-up window appears.

11. Read the warning message, and then select Ok.

    For the selected delivery note position, in s60001 Stores and Locations screen, at the specific site and storehouse, for the location, if the Status checkbox is not selected, then the Status checkbox is selected. For the specific site and storehouse, if the location does not exist, then a new location is created.

12. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
