Add sub-items for an expedite item

Add sub-items for an expedite item. The existing expedite item is the primary item and sub-items are the additional items delivered with the primary item. For example, if you order an engine block (primary item), then sub-items such as gaskets and bolts are delivered with the engine block.

1. Navigate to the s51004 Expediting screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. In the Expedite Header grid, select a row.

4. In the Expedite Items grid, select the Exp Items tab, and then select a row.

5. On the s51004 menu, in the Actions group, from the Handling of Items dropdown, select Define Sub Items.

   The d0244 Sub-Items dialog appears.

6. Select Insert.

   In the Sub Items grid, a row is created.

7. Select the General tab and perform the following:

   • In the Item Id field, enter the ID of the sub-item.

   • In the PO Qty field, enter the required quantity of the sub-item.

   • From the PO Unit dropdown, select the unit of measure for the quantity entered in the PO Qty field.

   • In the Description field, enter the description of the sub-item.

     Note: To define multiple sub-items for an expedite item, repeat steps 5 and 6.

8. Select Save.

   In the Expedite Items grid, in the Exp Items tab, the sub-item appears.
