Add sub-items to a DRL

Add sub-items for a primary item existing in a Delivery Request List (DRL). The existing DRL item is the primary item and sub-items are the additional items delivered with the primary item. For example, if you order an engine block (primary item), then sub-items such as gaskets and bolts are delivered with the engine block.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, complete the following:

Ensure the status of the DRL is DRL Not Completed.

Ensure the primary DRL item exists in a Purchase Order (PO) with defined sub-items.
To add sub-items to a DRL

Navigate to the s21001 Delivery Request Lists screen.

To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

In the Delivery Request List grid, select a row.

In the Line Item grid, select the item for which you want to define sub-items.
Ensure one or more sub-items already exist for the selected item.

On the s21001 menu, in the Add Positions group, select Sub-Items.
The d0253 Sub-Item Info dialog appears.

To refresh the dialog, select the F5 key.
The list of POs related to the selected item appears.

In the Purchase Order grid, select the required PO.

In the Sub Items grid, select one or more items.

In the Selected Qty field, enter the required quantity for each item.

Select Insert.
The items appear in the Line Item grid.

(Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s21001 Field descriptions.

On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
The sub-items are added to the DRL.
