Working Surplus Contingency Settings grid
The following table describes the fields in the General tab.
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
Classification Code |
The code of a material classification. |
Operator |
The operator to determine how an attribute is compared to the value defined in the Value field. The values are:
Value |
The value an operator uses to compare with an attribute. |
From |
The first value of a range. The From field is available when the value in the Operator field is Range. |
To |
The last value of a range. The To field is available when the value in the Operator field is Range. |
Site |
The ID of a site where a requisitioned material in a project is received and stored. |
Project phase |
The progress stage of a project. |
Type |
The ID of a component type related to a standard material in a project. The component type is used in a request for quote, a part list, a picking list, and so on. The valid values are defined and maintained in the s80130 Component Types screen. |
Material Type |
The code of a material type related to a standard material or a project component. A material type is used to group common materials. You can use a material type as a reference when you create a material in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management from an external application. The valid values are defined and maintained in the s20004 Material Type Defaults screen. |
Size From |
The minimum size of a requisitioned material related to material classification. |
Size To |
The maximum size of a requisitioned material related to a material classification. |
Unit |
The unit of measure for the values defined in the Size From field and the Size To field. |
Quantity From |
The minimum quantity of a requisitioned material related to a material classification. |
Quantity To (Value Excluded in Range) |
The maximum quantity of a requisitioned material related to a material classification. |
Working Surplus (%) |
The working surplus percentage of the requisitioned quantity of a material related to a material classification. Working surplus is the extra quantity ordered for a requisitioned material when your estimation of the requisitioned quantity of the material is inaccurate. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the working surplus percentage defined in the Working Surplus (%) field is 10%, then the working surplus quantity is 10. The working surplus quantity obtained from the working surplus percentage is added to the total quantity of the requisitioned material. Ensure you enter a positive decimal value. The default value is 0.0000. |
Min Working surplus |
Minimum Working surplus: The minimum working surplus quantity related to the quantity of a requisitioned material. If the working surplus quantity obtained from the working surplus percentage defined in the Working Surplus (%) field is less than the minimum quantity defined in the Min Working Surplus field, then the quantity obtained from the working surplus percentage is overwritten by the minimum working surplus quantity. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the working surplus percentage defined in the Working Surplus (%) field is 10%, then the working surplus quantity is 10. But, if the minimum working surplus quantity defined in the Min Working surplus field is 20, then the value 20 is considered as the working surplus quantity. The quantity defined in the Min Working surplus field is less than or equal to the quantity defined in the Max Working surplus field. |
Max Working surplus |
Maximum Working surplus: The maximum working surplus quantity related to the quantity of a requisitioned material. If the working surplus quantity obtained from the working surplus percentage defined in the Working Surplus (%) field is more than the maximum quantity defined in the Max Working Surplus field, then the quantity obtained from the working surplus percentage is overwritten by the maximum working surplus quantity. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the working surplus percentage defined in the Working Surplus (%) field is 40%, then the working surplus quantity is 40. But, if the maximum working surplus quantity defined in the Max Working surplus field is 30, then the value 30 is considered as the working surplus quantity. The quantity defined in the Max Working surplus field is more than or equal to the quantity defined in the Min Working surplus field. |
Contingency (%) |
The contingency percentage of the requisitioned quantity of a material related to a material classification. Contingency is the extra quantity ordered for a requisitioned material when some pieces of the material can be damaged at the time of delivery. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the contingency percentage defined in the Contingency (%) field is 40%, then the contingency quantity is 40. The contingency quantity obtained from the contingency percentage is added to the total quantity of the requisitioned material. Ensure you enter a positive decimal value. The default value is 0.0000. |
Min Contingency |
Minimum Contingency: The minimum contingency quantity related to the quantity of a requisitioned material. If the contingency quantity obtained from the contingency percentage defined in the Contingency (%) field is less than the minimum quantity defined in the Min Contingency field, then the quantity obtained from the contingency percentage is overwritten by the minimum contingency quantity. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the contingency percentage defined in the Contingency (%) field is 10%, then the contingency quantity is 10. But, if the minimum contingency quantity defined in the Min Working surplus field is 20, then the value 20 is considered as the contingency quantity. The quantity defined in the Min Contingency field is less than or equal to the quantity defined in the Max Contingency field. |
Max Contingency |
Maximum Contingency: The maximum contingency quantity related to the quantity of a requisitioned material. If the contingency quantity obtained from the contingency percentage defined in the Contingency (%) field is more than the maximum quantity defined in the Max Contingency field, then the quantity obtained from the contingency percentage is overwritten by the maximum contingency quantity. For example, if the quantity of a requisitioned material is 100, the contingency percentage defined in the Contingency (%) field is 40%, then the contingency quantity is 40. But, if the maximum contingency quantity defined in the Max Contingency field is 30, then the value 30 is considered as the contingency quantity. The quantity defined in the Max Contingency field is more than or equal to the quantity defined in the Min Contingency field. |
Rounding Type |
Indicates the method to determine how the quantity of a requisitioned material is rounded-off according to the rounding increment defined in the Rounding Increment field. There are three values:
Rounding Increment |
The rounding increment is a positive integer. For example, when you calculate the quantity of a requisitioned material by applying working surplus and contingency parameters, the result can be a decimal value such as 9.8. The quantity of a requisitioned material cannot be a decimal value, so, you can use a rounding increment to obtain an integer value. If the rounding increment is 1, and the rounding type defined in the Rounding Type field is Normal, then the quantity of the requisitioned material is rounded-off to the number nearest to 9.8 which is divisible by 1, that is, 10. The default value for the rounding increment is 1. As per your requirement, you can enter any positive integer. |
Limit Across Splits |
Indicates the rounding increment and rounding type rule is distributed among all systems in a project which require a common material. You select the Limit Across Splits checkbox to ensure that the total quantity added to the requisitioned quantity of the common requisitioned material does not exceed the rounding increment settings and the quantity is adjusted across all systems in the project. |
