Add documents to an RFQ

Add documents such as instruction manuals, assembly drawings, and certificates to a Request For Quote (RFQ). The documents are delivered along with the purchased items. You cannot add documents to a subcontract task (SC) item or a various material (V) item.

  1. Navigate to the s50019 Request for Quote screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Request for Quote Header grid, select a row.

  4. In the Request for Quote Position grid, select a row.

    Ensure the selected position is not a document, a subcontract task, or a various material.

  5. On the s50019 menu, in the Add Positions group, select Documents.

    The d0017 Document Selection dialog appears.

  6. In the Display Options section, select one of the following:

    • Display documents related to the material: To display the documents related to the selected material.

    • Display all available documents: To display all the active documents defined in the s20005 Documents screen.

  7. To refresh the dialog, select the F5 key.

    In the Documents section, a list of documents appear.

  8. In the Documents section, select the required documents, and then select the Enter key.

    In the Selected Documents section, the selected documents appear.

  9. In the Selected Documents section, in the Quantity field, enter the required quantity for each document.

  10. Select Insert.

    In the Request for Quote Position grid, the documents are added as RFQ positions.

  11. In the Request for Quote Position grid, select a document, and then perform the following:

    1. Select the General tab.

    2. From the System dropdown, select the ID of the required system.

    Note: For multiple documents, repeat step 11 for each document.

  12. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
