Split a hull material DRL item

Split a hull material Delivery Request List (DRL) item into two separate items. The new hull material DRL item contains the same material and links back to the same take-off or part list as the original DRL item. Initially, the requested quantity for the new DRL item is set to 0. You can manually distribute the requested quantity between the two items.

You can split a hull material DRL item when a part of the material quantity in a hull material DRL item requires different handling. For example, when you want to replace a part of the material requirement by using a substitute material, you can split a hull material DRL item into two: one hull material DRL item that is substituted with a different material and another hull material DRL item to retain the original material.

1. Navigate to the s30003 Hull Material Delivery Request List screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. In the Hull Material Delivery Request List grid, select a row.

4. In the Hull Material Delivery Request List Item grid, select the hull material DRL item you want to split.

5. On the s30003 menu, in the Add Positions group, select Split DRL Items.

   In the Hull Material Delivery Request List Item grid, a copy of the selected hull material DRL item is created.

6. Select the General tab, select the copied DRL item, in the Requested Quantity field, enter the required quantity.

   You can manually distribute the requested quantity between the two DRL items you split.

7. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s30003 Field descriptions.

8. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The selected hull material DRL item is split into two separate items.
