Issue a release certificate for an inspection visit

If an item in an inspection release visit passes inspection, you can release the item for shipment. Scan the barcode of a visit pack in an inspection visit and issue an Inspection Release Certificate (IRC) for the items in the visit pack. If you do not scan the items, you can manually enter IRC or Non-Release Certificate for the items.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, complete the following:

  • In the Inspection Visit grid, in the General tab, ensure the Release checkbox is selected.

  • In the Inspection Visit grid, in the General tab, ensure the status of the inspection visit is Open or Locked.

To issue a release certificate for an inspection visit

  1. Navigate to the s52006 Inspection Visits screen.

  2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the project related to an inspection visit.

  3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  4. In the Inspection Visit grid, select a row.

  5. On the s52006 menu, in the Visit Pack options group, select Scan barcode.

    The d5201 Scan visit pack barcode dialog appears.

  6. To refresh the dialog, select the F5 key.

  7. In the Barcode field, enter the barcode of the visit pack.

    The selected item appears in the Visit Items grid.

    Note: To issue an IRC for multiple visit packs, repeat step 7.

  8. Select Apply IRC.

    Ensure the number of characters in the Release Certificate field is between 0 to 32.

  9. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    In the Expedite Items grid, in the Allocated tab, in the General tab, the IRC field is updated for the items with the scanned barcode.
