Create a new round of negotiation for a Request For Quote (RFQ). For the RFQ, in the Request for Quote Header grid, in the General tab, in the External status field, ensure the value is ISSUED.

When you create a new round of negotiation, in the s50020 Followup on Request for Quote screen, the workflow status of the parent RFQ is updated to Close Quoting. To execute further workflow activities, you can reopen the quoting process. For more information, see Update the quoting status of an RFQ.

  1. Navigate to the s50019 Request for Quote screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. In the Request for Quote Header grid, select a row.

  4. On the s50019 menu, in the RFQ Options group, select Create New Round.

    A pop-up window appears.

  5. Perform one of the following:

    • If quotes are not submitted for the selected RFQ, read the warning message, and then select Yes.

    • If pre-awards are released for the selected RFQ, read the warning message, and then select Yes.

    • If the selected RFQ has an existing round of negotiation, read the warning message, and then select Ok.

A copy of the selected RFQ is created. The new RFQ contains the same RFQ ID, RFQ positions, attachments, and data as the parent RFQ.

For the new RFQ, in the General tab, the Round field is updated.

  6. (Optional) Modify the new RFQ according to your requirements.

  7. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
