Create an event

Use an event to trigger actions through a webhook. The s15002 Events screen contains three predefined events:

• PostImport

• PostImportInvoicePayment

• PostPublishExport

You can create additional events according to your requirements. For example, you can create an event called PostUpdate to monitor when some data is updated in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management, and you can relate the event to a webhook called Publish to EXT1. When the PostUpdate event occurs, the Publish to EXT1 webhook is triggered and the changes recorded during the PostUpdate event are published to an external application.

1. Navigate to the s15002 Events screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

   In the Events grid, a blank row is created.

4. Select the General tab and enter the relevant details in the following fields:

   • Event Id: The unique ID of an event.

   • Description: The description of an event.

5. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s15002 Field descriptions.

6. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

   The event is created.
