Configure an integration service

Configure an integration service to transfer concepts between AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management and an application.

  1. Navigate to the s14001 Integration Service screen.

  2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

  3. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Create.

    In the Integration Service grid, a blank row is created.

  4. Select the General tab, from the Integr Transfer Id dropdown, select the ID of an integration service.

  5. (Optional) For external applications, from the Integr Proj Id dropdown, select the ID of a design project related to the integration service.

  6. From the Direction dropdown, select one of the following:

    • Both: The concept is transferred between AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management and an application. Perform the following:

      • In the Description field, enter the description of the integration service.

      • From the Application dropdown, select the ID of an application related to the integration service.

      • From the Data Source Name dropdown, select the name of the data source as defined in the Integration Settings Editor application.

      • From the Source Table dropdown, select the name of a database related to the integration service.

      • From the Data Type dropdown, select the type of data for transfer.

      • From the Import Staging Area dropdown, select the code of an import staging area related to the integration service.

    • In: The concept is transferred from an application to AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management. Perform the following:

      • In the Description field, enter the description of the integration service.

      • From the Application dropdown, select the ID of an application related to the integration service.

      • From the Data Source Name dropdown, select the name of a data source as defined in the Integration Settings Editor application.

      • From the Source Table dropdown, select the name of the database related to the integration service.

      • From the Data Type dropdown, select the type of data for transfer.

      • From the Import Staging Area dropdown, select the code of an import staging area related to the integration service.

    • Lookup: The concept is not transferred, but you can view the data from AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management in other applications. Perform the following:

      • In the Description field, enter the description of the integration service.

      • From the Application dropdown, select the ID of an application related to the integration service.

      • From the Data Source Name dropdown, select the name of a data source as defined in the Integration Settings Editor application.

    • Out: The concept is transferred from AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management to an application. Perform the following:

      • In the Description field, enter the description of the integration service.

  7. (Optional) Enter the relevant details in other fields as required. For more information on all the fields, see s14001 Field descriptions.

  8. On the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.

    The integration service is created.
