Copy a drawing to a project

Copy one or more drawings from the source project to another project.

1. Navigate to the s20012 Drawing Catalogue screen.

2. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select a project ID.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. In the Drawings grid, select a row.

5. On the s20012 menu, in the Actions group, select Copy Drawings.

   The d0026 Copy Drawing to Project dialog appears.

6. From the Target Project dropdown, select the project to which you want to copy the drawing.

7. (Optional) In the Options sections, perform the following:

   • To copy translated descriptions of the drawing to the target project, select the Include Translated Descriptions checkbox.

   • To copy inactive drawings from the source project to the target project, select the Include Inactive Drawings checkbox.

8. In the Drawings to copy section, select one of the following:

   • All: To copy all drawings defined for the source project to the target project.

   • Selected: To copy only the selected drawings defined for the source project to the target project.

9. To validate the drawing copy, select Test.

   A pop-up window displaying the test result appears.

10. Perform one of the following as required:

    • If the validation is successful, select OK.

      The pop-up window closes.

    • If the validation is not successful, select OK, and select the Details tab for more information. Perform the necessary actions and validate the copy again.

11. Select Copy.

    The number of drawings that are copied, not copied, and included in the copy are listed in the Summary tab. For more information, see the Details tab.

    The drawing is copied from the source project to the target project.

12. To close the d0026 Copy Drawing to Project dialog, select Exit.

13. (Optional) To modify the drawing copy according to your requirements, perform the following:

    1. In the Current Project control block, from the Project dropdown, select the project ID of the target project.

    2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

    3. In the Drawings grid, select the drawing copy, and modify according to your requirements.

    4. To save the changes, on the Home menu, in the Record group, select Save.
