The DOMI element enables you to define how to manipulate data. Use this element in conjunction with the CustomServerProcess element, ensuring that you configure the CommandButtonLinker attribute.
Note: All attributes are required unless indicated as optional.
The DOMI element attributes are as follows:
-
Method is the data operation used to manipulate the data: Specify "BLT" to use the Function Put (fnput) Business Logic Tier (BLT) object or "AnyBLT" to use any other BLT object.
-
Optional: AlternativeDatabase is the database to use for the update. This is not applicable to the RealTime database (RTDB).
-
Optional: AlternativeTable is for supporting the fnput method. This attribute represents the name of the table to update. If you do not define this attribute, the system uses the table defined in the XML form.
-
Optional: AlternativeKeyField is for supporting the fnput method. This attribute represents the key column used in the update. If you do not define this attribute, the system uses the primary key for the table.
-
CallSyntax attribute consists of two parts:
-
The name of the fnput method or the name of the BLT object to execute. For example "assignconn" is the name of a fnput method defined for the remote table whereas "addOneShotReminder" is the name of a BLT object.
-
The list of comma separated column names in the default table (in closed brackets) whose values will be used as parameters of the BLT object.
