To configure a Development environment
-
On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.
-
Execute the following command:
set-silo Tools
-
Execute the following command to create a Development environment:
Initialize-DevEnvironment.ps1
For example:
Initialize-DevEnvironment.ps1 -Path C:\Customizations -Name RealTime
Arguments:
-
-Path: The path to the root folder that will contain one or more product-specific Development environments. For example, C:\Customizations.
Note: If working with a 260-character MAX_PATH, use a path value along the lines of C:\Source or C:\Workspace to keep the path short.
-
-Name: The name of the product associated with the Development environment. For example, RealTime.
Important: Associate the Development environment with a single product component MSI package. You should only deploy a custom file within a single MSI. If you deploy a custom file from two separate MSIs—resulting in duplicated custom files—unexpected issues will arise since the consistency of install files can no longer be guaranteed.
-
-Version: (Optional) The version number of the product associated with the Test and Development System environment. For example, 9.0.
