Alert Paging

This Alert Paging application automatically creates a text file to be used by an external paging system to notify Field Operators when specific AVEVA Enterprise SCADA alarms occur. Field Operators are able to respond using a unique code through the paging system which uses the Business Logic Tier (BLT) interface to acknowledge the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA alarm. The AVEVA Enterprise SCADA alarms are then "parked" and not visible to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Operator.

The configuration procedure for the application is as follows:

• Enable Alert Paging

• Set the Alert Paging dataset

• Set the Alert Paging output directory

• Create Alert Paging notification distribution lists

• Configure analog and rate points

• Configure status and multistate points
