If the client system is configured so that client applications can connect to different systems, the Network Management Console (NMC) Configuration Selector window will appear whenever the NMC is launched. This configuration is done during system setup.

If the NMC is connected to a Remote system, the Log folder in the Network Management Console (NMC) Systems > <system> > Computers folder will not be shown. Log files are only available for Local connections.
Additionally, if the NMC is connected to a Remote system, then the Add Windows Account button on the Members tab of the Properties dialog box for a member of Private OASyS DNA Groups will be unavailable. When you are using Windows, other groups and yourself can only be added when the NMC makes a local connection to the system.
Note: If you start the Common service node on a Remote system, and NMC displays the Common service node as red, even though the oasErrLog.log file indicates that the service was started successfully, refer to Troubleshoot the Common service Health State status.
