The system provides an example for each of the analog, status, rate, multistate, and rtstring tables. Each table has its own PointReplacement*Extension.json file that will allow the RealTime service to load the extension .dll file.
For example, to enable loading of the PrePostVDBOverrideExtension example, copy the %DNASourceRoot%\RealTime\source\ PrePostVDBOverrideExamples\ProPostOverrideAnalog\ \ PointReplacementAnalogExtension.json file to the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\settings folder.
To execute a software development kit (SDK) example
-
Restart the RealTime service.
The RealTime service will load the configured extension .dll file and create messages in the oasErrLog.log file.
-
For this plugin to function, create at least one analog, status, rate, multistate, or rtstring record.
-
Test the code as follows:
-
Once the RealTime service starts up, and the extension .dll file is loaded, check that a message appears in the oasErrLog.log file indicating that the .dll file is loaded. For example:
PRE and POST Extension Analog: Calling wrap_putManlFlag_func for db = % d", tableNumber);
-
Refer to the example source file for documentation and log messages printed at various steps in the example.
