Use the following topic hierarchy for Arbitration Configuration topics:
<system>.<service>.arb.config.<configurationItem>
Where <configurationItem> can be any of the options in the table below:
|
Configuration Item |
Description |
|---|---|
|
asserthotwaittime |
This value identifies the amount of time, in seconds, that arbitration will wait between making the decision to set the state to Hot and executing the assert script. |
|
partnertimeout |
This value identifies the amount of time, in seconds, that arbitration will wait from the last alive message received before setting the partner state to FAIL. |
|
primaryhost |
This is the name of the primary host for the given system/service combination. |
|
rxlistentime |
This is the amount of time, in seconds, that the arbMonitor process waits for the arbRx process to properly bind to the arbitration socket. |
|
scriptwaittime |
This is the amount of time, in seconds, to wait for the arbitration scripts to execute. A value of -1 indicates an indefinite amount of time; a value of 0 indicates no wait time. |
|
secduelavoidancewait |
When a secondary computer times out its partner and begins asserting, this value identifies an extra sleep that should occur on this computer alone. |
|
serviceassertwaitime |
This is the amount of time that arbitration will wait for replication before asserting Hot. |
|
switchwaittime |
During a Controller-demanded failover, the switchwaittime indicates the amount of time that arbitration on the Hot computer waits for the Standby computer to assert. If the Standby computer does not assert within this timeout, the Hot computer abandons the failover. |
|
virtualhostname |
This is the virtual hostname that will float between the two computers. |
|
virtualmask |
This is the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet Protocol (IP) network mask value associated with the virtual hostname. |
