Major concepts of Data Payload Processor (DPP)

Decode Define

A user-configured definition against which Data Payload Processor (DPP) matches an inbound raw record. When a define match occurs, DPP runs the associated Decode Templates. Decode Defines can have multiple associated Decode Templates.

Decode Template

A user-configured definition for a specific stored procedure that has one or more associated Decode Methods.

Decode Method

A user-configured definition that specifies a parameter and the value for each available parameter in the stored procedure. Decode Templates can have multiple associated Decode Methods attached to build a complete stored procedure.

Decode Enumeration

A user-configured definition that specifies how to translate specific data types to a set of predefined values expected by the stored procedure. Decode Methods of type "Enumeration" make use of Decode Enumerations.
