Associate a site with a region

Follow this procedure to associate a site record with a region record. When points associated with a site's station enter an alarm state, the system rolls the alarm up to the site and region levels.

To associate a site with a region

  1. Navigate to the regionSiteJoin Table Edit dialog box

  2. Select Table > Insert Row.

    A new row appears in the regionSiteJoin Table Edit dialog box.

  3. Double-click the Add icon in the row header of the new row.

    The regionSiteJoin Row Details dialog box opens.

  4. In the Region field, enter or select the name of the region record you want to join to the record listed in the Site field.

  5. In the Site field, enter or select the name of the desired site record.

  6. Select Apply.

  7. Repeat the above steps to create additional records as desired.

    Note: Typically, regions contain numerous sites. A single site, meanwhile, can belong to more than one region.
