This Business Logic Tier (BLT) allows you to determine which points (analog, multistate, pump, rate, rtstring, status, tank, or valve) require commissioning.

To determine which points require commissioning

  1. On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.

    Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.

  2. Execute the following commands:

    set-silo Common

    blttestclient

The OASyS DNA Business Object Test Client opens.

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

  3. In the Component Name field, select CommissioningRequired.

  4. On the Input Parameters tab, in the Value column of the TableNames row, enter a comma-separated list of database table names in which to search for points.

Note: Valid tables include analog, multistate, pump, rate, rtstring, status, tank, and valve.

  5. Optional: On the Input Parameters tab, in the Value column of the Station row, enter the name of the station to which the search should be limited.

Note: To search all stations, leave this field in the table empty.

  6. Optional: On the Input Parameters tab, in the Value column of the Remote row, enter the name of the remote to which the search should be limited.

Note: To search all remotes, leave this field in the table empty.

  7. Optional: On the Input Parameters tab, in the Value column of the TestMode row, enter the string to which the search should be limited by the flag.testmode of the point.

Notes: To search all points, regardless if flag.testmode is true or false, set this field in the table to ALL.

To search the points for flag.testmode is true, set this field in the table to ACTIVE.

To search the points for flag.testmode is false, set this field in the table to any other string, including "" (blank) string.

  8. Select Execute.

  9. Select the Results tab to view the results of the BLT execution.

The Results tab shows a table of all points that require commissioning.

    • The Table Name column contains a string specifying the name of the table containing the point.

    • The Point Name column contains a string specifying the name of the point.

    • The Short Description column contains a string specifying the short description for the point.

    • The Remote column contains a string specifying the name of the remote containing the point.

    • The Station column contains a string specifying the name of the station containing the point.

    • The TestMode column contains the file name of the icon used in the DQ column of a summary view (that is, anotDQTestmode.gif if the flag.testmode is true, or "" [blank] if it is false).

Parameters

Name

Type

Optional

Output

Description

TableName

string

False

False

This input parameter is a comma-separated list of database table names in which to search for points.

Note: Valid tables include analog, multistate, pump, rate, rtstring, status, tank, or valve).

Station

string

True

False

This input parameter is the name of the station to which the search should be limited.

Remote

string

True

False

This input parameter is the name of the remote to which the search should be limited.

TestMode

string

True

False

This input parameter is the test mode to which the search should be limited for the flag.testmode of the point.

Optional values include:

  • All โ€“ To search all the points regardless if flag.testmode is true or false.

  • ACTIVE โ€“ To search the points for flag.testmode is true.

  • Any other string, including "" (blank) string โ€“ To search the points for flag.testmode is false.

Example Pseudo Code

The logic used by this BLT is represented by the following pseudo code:

For each table in the list of tables provided:

For each point in the table, add the point to the list of points to return if it has any of the following:

  • The commissioningRequired field set to true &&

  • A station field and the station field matches the provided Station parameter,
or the Station parameter is blank &&

  • A remote field and the remote field matches the provided Remote parameter,
or the Remote parameter is blank &&

  • The flag.Testmode field is true if the provided TestMode parameter is ACTIVE,
or always if the TestMode parameter is ALL,
or the flag.Testmode field is false if the TestMode parameter is any string other than ALL and ACTIVE, including "" (blank)

For each point added to the list of points to return, provide the following as results:

  • Table name

  • Point name

  • Short description of the point

  • Remote name

  • Station name

  • The file name of the icon used in the DQ column of a summary view (that is, anotDQTestmode.gif if the flag.testmode is true, or "" [blank] if it is false)
