Configure a poll timeout

Follow this procedure to configure an alarm on a remote when it exceeds a configured maximum poll time.

The Scan Parameters tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box is opened through the remote table listing in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE, and further information on the remote table, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation and RealTime tables, respectively.

To configure a poll timeout

  1. Navigate to the Scan Parameters tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box.

  2. Select Poll Timeout Enable (enable_timeout).

  3. In the Poll Timeout (sec) (polltimeout) field, enter the poll timeout value in seconds.

    When the poll delta time exceeds this value, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA generates an alarm.
