Create alarm bracket records

The second step in setting up alarm bracketing involves creating almbracket records for the almbracketset record created above. To represent points on the pipeline, almbracket records are added to almbracketset records via the almbracsetjoin table, as described in Add an alarm bracket record to an alarm bracket set. Repeat the procedure below for as many records as you want to associate with a bracket set.

Almbracket records are stored in the almbracket table, and configured and edited using the almbracket Row Edit dialog box within the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE and how to create records, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.

To create alarm bracket records

1. From the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), select View > Realtime and open the almbracket Table Edit dialog box.

   

2. Refer to the following sections for information on configuring the tabs on the almbracket Row Edit dialog box:

   • Almbracket Row Edit: Inhibits tab
