Import Perspective Root data from Excel

When importing the Perspective Root from Excel, the Excel file with the table names in the Perspective are imported into the appropriate Perspective Root and Perspective child dialog boxes.

To import Perspective Root data from Excel

1. Open the Perspective Root dialog box.

2. Select Perspective > Import Perspective From Excel.

   The Table Edit dialog box appears.

3. Select Yes to continue the import.

   The Open dialog box appears.

4. Select the Excel file that you want to import and select Open.

   The information from the Excel file appears in the Perspective Root and child dialog boxes. The Perspective child dialog boxes are marked with triangle or plus icons to indicate that the records have been changed or added.

   

5. Select Table > Save Changes.

   You must have the correct permissions to save this information to the database.
