The dnaAdmin_<project_name> user is created during the installation of the product for tasks requiring Administrator-level access. The dnaAdmin_<project_name> has allowance for the tasks associated with both an Active Directory (AD) Domain Administrator and an AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Administrator. It is more common to create the two users:

  • A Domain Administrator account that is used to perform installation tasks which require the creation of objects in AD or the configuration of security policies.

  • The AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Manager account that is used to configure the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system within the Network Management Console (NMC).

Prior to cutover, the dnaAdmin_<project_name> user is deleted at the conclusion of installation. The customer should create specific accounts for the individuals assigned to hold AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Administrator or Domain Administrator rights. These individuals should also have regular use accounts without high-level privileges.
