Improve the synchronization time of the Hot and Standby servers

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

Follow the procedure below to override the default value of the DEF_XFRQ_STALE_UPDATELENGTH key to improve the synchronization time of the Hot and Standby servers.

To improve the synchronization time of the Hot and Standby servers

  1. In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_cmxrep.json file.

  2. Add the following line of text:

    {

    "RealTime": {

    "DEF_XFRQ_STALE_UPDATELENGTH": 509715200

    }

    }

  3. Restart the RealTime service.

    Note: If increasing the value of the DEF_XFRQ_STALE_UPDATELENGTH key does not solve the synchronization problem, increase the value again. However, if, after a few tries of increasing the value there is no noticeable change to the synchronization time (and you continue to see the queue stale error messages), there may be other CMX Replication tuning parameters that you will need to consider.
