Map points with other systems

You can specify mapping between a specific point in the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system and another system by configuring the Mapping Flag field. The Mapping Flag field is a reference field only and is not used by the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system. This field can be used for various purposes, including custom display filtering and report generation.

The Mapping Flag field can be configured in any of the following records:

• analog

• connection

• flowTotalConfig

• multistate

• rate

• remote

• rtstring

• status

• tank

To configure the Mapping Flag field:

1. Open the Row Edit dialog box for the record you want to configure.

2. Select the Main tab.

3. In the Mapping Flag field, enter the 32-bit integer value that maps to the other system.

   

4. Save the record configuration changes.
