Configure principal Historical system alarms

In a typical single Historical scenario, the principal Historical systems do not have a RealTime service that takes care of system alarm generation. In this case, you must designate one system that has RealTime service to raise the alarms generated in the principal Historical system.

The following process details how to configure the global table owner system to generate the alarms and events related to the principal Historical systems.

To configure the global table owner system to generate alarms from the principal historical systems

  1. Connect to a RealTime server in the global table owner system.

  2. Navigate to %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings.

  3. Create or open the RealTime_LogAdminPages.json file.

    Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

  4. Edit the file to set the LOGADMINPAGES_SYSTEM_NAMES setting as a semicolon-separated list including the names of the principal Historical systems.

    For example:

    "RealTime": {

    "LOGADMINPAGES_SYSTEM_NAMES": "PDC;SDC"

    }

  5. To apply the change, restart the RealTime service.

  6. Copy the file to the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings folder on the other RealTime server in the global table owner system.

  7. To apply the change, restart the RealTime service.
