When the Hot server on large-sized systems with different system topologies fails to synchronize with the other systems after a RealTime service failover, the following message may appear in the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\Log\oaserrlog.log file.
On the new Standby server:
2024-05-27 10:43:14.786 PSengine_19196 [TID=0x3c88] ERROR - Machine 10.188.0.30 declared dead (likely restarted)
If the message appears, follow the procedure below to override the default value (30000 ms) of the PacketReorderingTimeoutMs key. Overriding the default value as described enables the Hot server to synchronize with other systems..
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\Common\config\Settings directory, either create or open the SystemServices.json file.
-
Add the following object:
{
"SystemServices: {
"PacketReorderingTimeoutMs": 40000
}
}
-
Restart the Common service.
-
Restart all services below Common.
