Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, see Modify configuration settings.
When using multi-instance Open Platform Communication (OPC) servers, each instance needs its own copy of the libOPCServerOverride.dll file (refer to volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator documentation for information on configuring multi-instance OPC Data Access (DA) servers).
Using the libOPCServerOverride example in a multi-instance Open Platform Communication (OPC) server
-
After creating the libOPCServerOverride.dll file, copy it to the instance directory.
For example, %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\bin\My.OPC.TestServer.1.
-
Open the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings\OPCDAServerConfig.json file (see Use the LibOPCServerOverride example), and add the following to the My.OPC.TestServer.1 section:
"OverridePlugin": "My.OPC.TestServer.1\\libOPCServerOverride.dll"
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the OPC Server to start using the new libOPCOverride change.
