Follow the procedure below to hide or show a table in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE).
To hide or show a table in ADE
-
Copy the %DNAInstallRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\[baseline|custom]\<component>\DNATreeLayoutSchema.xml file to the following directory:
%DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\custom\<component>
-
Rename the file to DNATreeLayoutSchema.Alter.xml.
-
Change the xis:schemaLocation property from DNATreelayoutSchema.xsd to DNATreeLayoutSchemaAlter.xsd.
-
Open the copied file, and navigate to the following section associated with the table you want to hide or show:
<Tables Type="Table" Label="<TableLabel>" TableName="<NameOfTable>" ... />
For example:
<Tables Type="Table" Label="Eagle Units" TableName="eagle_unit" PrimaryKeyField="name" DescriptionField="" UseDistinct="false" CanOpenTable="true" CanOpenRecord="true" FromClause="FROM "eagle_unit"" WhereClause=""/>
-
To hide the table, add the following text to the end of the line:
IsVisible="false"
For example:
<Tables Type="Table" TableName="eagle_unit" IsVisible="false"/>
-
To show a hidden table, change the value of IsVisible to true.
For example:
<Tables Type="Table" TableName="eagle_unit" IsVisible="true"/>
