During the pilot phase, initial rules should be created and deployed on a test system in monitoring mode, if available. This phase involves gathering data for the normal operation of AVEVA Enterprise SCADA. This data will allow refinement of the allowlisting policies to arrive at the working configuration.
Piloting should include testing for the following:
-
Cold and warm start of SCADA services
-
Proper execution of SCADA HMI
-
Failovers
-
Mode-switches
-
Creation and deployment of HMI screens, Application Calculation Engine (ACE) routines, and any other source of dynamic binaries
-
Any impacts to system performance
