Jitter Smoothing

The Jitter Smoothing application calculates the average value of analog and rate points processed into AVEVA Enterprise SCADA.
You can configure the number of analog and rate readings–"n"–used in calculating the arithmetic mean.
If the number of available readings is less than "n", the application continues to calculate the average using the available readings until "n" readings are available. The available readings come from analog and rate records' curval and currate fields, respectively.
The application does not modify the actual values received by the host. Instead, it stores the average values for analog and rate points in a separate curavg field.
