Analog table details

- 10 minute read
The analog table contains a record for each analog input/output from a field device. An analog record may stipulate either input only, output only, or input and output. Analog output data are also termed setpoints.
An analog record describes the location and format of analog input data, conversion factor for engineering units, and alarm limit parameters. Typical measurements include temperature and pressure.
If configured, the record also contains the average value for various time bases (for example, hour, shift, day, and month). Both the current average and previous average are available for each time period.
