Configure email parameters for non-On Call email alarms

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

Follow this procedure to modify the parameters contained in the associated JSON file.

To configure the parameters

1. Log on as a computer Administrator. For example, <domain>\dnaInstaller.

2. In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the Email_Configuration.json file:

3. Refer to the table below for information on configuring the various values in the JSON file.

4. Save the file.

5. Restart the RealTime service.

   Value Name	Description
   fromEmail	The sender's email address as it appears in emails or text messages sent to contacts (default: OASyS.DNA@project.com).
   emailHost	Address of the SMTP server (default: mailrelay.project.net).
   SMTPport	SMTP host port (default: 25).
   sleepTime	The time in seconds that the txt2email process sleeps between email attempts (default: 20 seconds).
   retries	The number of times that the txt2email process tries to resend emails when either: There is an email server connection problem, or The OnCall Historical server is not available (default: 5)
   SMTPtimeout	The timeout for SMTP send operations (default: 500 ms [0.5 seconds]).
