Add a regular expression (RegEx)

If existing regular expressions (RegEx) do not meet requirements, you can define new ones.

To add a RegEx

1. Navigate to the following directory:

   %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\Regex

2. Create the following XML file:

   ADERegex_<name>.xml

   Where:

   • <name> can be any name.

     For information on the structure of the XML file, refer to Regular expression (RegEx) file structure.

3. Close all sessions of the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) currently running on the machine.

4. Restart ADE.
