The High Performance Data Export Framework (HPDEF) is used to create plugins that enable you to export data in an efficient manner. For example, this framework allows the HPDEF Collect Plugin to collect data by exception for any field within a RealTime database (RTDB) record.

Virtual fields are supported by the Virtual Access Layer (VDB) and do not physically exist in the RTDB; therefore, virtual fields cannot be used by any plugin created with the HPDEF framework.
