Remote debugging

If you do not have physical access to the computer hosting the component, you can debug it remotely from another computer. The remote computer must be on the same domain as the computer hosting the Business Logic Tier (BLT) component. In a typical remote debugging scenario, and depending on your network security, you can log on to the Test and Development System using Terminal Services Client or Remote Desktop Connection and debug processes on another project computer from that session, for example:
Developer station > RTS session > Test and Development System > Visual Studio Debugger > BLTHost process on target computer
To remotely debug BLT Components written in Visual Basic .NET Framework (VB.NET) or C#, the target computer must have the Microsoft Visual Studio remote debugging components (Machine Debug Manager) installed. All AVEVA Enterprise SCADA systems should already have this installed.
Note: The Machine Debug Manager feature has been deprecated and therefore is no longer supported.
