The test environment used to validate the recommendations in this document was comprised of a virtualized AVEVA Enterprise SCADA solution that includes the following:

  • Primary Production System: Hot/Standby RealTime, Hot/Standby Historical, and Clustered Microsoft SQL Server on a Network Accessible Storage (NAS) device

  • Secondary Production System: Hot/Standby RealTime, Hot Historical

  • Control Room System: Hot/Standby Inter-System Publish/Subscribe (ISPS) and easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) workstations

  • Deployment System: Hot RealTime, Hot Historical

• Decision Support Domain:

  • Primary Decision Support System: Hot RealTime, Hot Historical

• Test Domain:

  • Development System: Hot RealTime, Hot Historical, Management of Change (MoC), AVEVA Work Tasks (formerly known as Wonderware Skelta Business Process Management (BPM) [Skelta])
