There are two different Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) drivers published by INTEL for their Network Interface Cards (NICs). Depending on which NIC WMI driver you have, the WhereClause specified within ConfigWMIMonitor may be different.
If you are configuring the IA_NetworkAdapter class, within the root\CIMV2 namespace, then the following WhereClause is applicable:
Note: Use this WhereClause if you want to ignore individual NICs that have not been disabled.
-
DeviceID <> <NIC number>
For example, to ensure that device 0000 and device 0008 are not monitored or displayed in the Network Mangemnt Console (NMC), the following WhereClause should be used:
-
DeviceID <> "0000" and DeviceID <> "0008"
If you are configuring the IANet_EthernetAdapter class within the root\IntelNCS namespace, the following WhereClause is applicable:
Note: This WMI driver enables you to filter for NICs that have been disabled, and as such, you do not need to identify the individual NIC within your WhereClause.
