Connect the remote to one (or multiple) communication line(s)

Create a remconnjoin record to configure a connection for a specific remote. Use the remconnjoin Row Edit dialog box to configure the details of a remote connection such as the cost factor, timeout, and test frequency information.

Before you begin

Complete the steps in:

• Connection configuration

• Create a remote record

• Schedule protocol commands

• Configure the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) record

To connect the remote to a communication line

1. Navigate to the remconnjoin Row Edit dialog box.

   

   Note: When you open the remconnjoin Row Edit dialog box, the Remote field contains the name of the remote created through the Create a remote record procedure.

2. In the Connection field, select the name of the connection created through the Connection configuration procedure.

3. Configure the remaining fields as desired.

4. Optional: Create and configure multiple remconnjoin records for a single remote record (as needed) to connect the remote to all desired communication lines.
