Safety points

Administrators can configure certain RealTime database (RTDB) points as "safety-related". Such designation allows you to easily filter these points on easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) summary windows to identify if a system change affects a safety point.

In addition, Administrators can configure which alarm states associated with a point are the result of a safety-related condition. When a safety-related point enters an alarm state designated as safety-related, the following summary windows display this information to you:

• Aggregate Events Summary window

• Operational Activities Summary window

• Alarm Summary window

• New Alarm Summary window

Administrators can configure the following RTDB points as safety-related:

• Analog

• Rate

• Status

• Multistate

• Rtstring

• FlowTotalConfig
