Preview reports using DNAReportViewer

ReportViewer allows you to preview the list of reports and to show the result of a particular one. DNAReportNavigator allows you to access reports using the Report Navigator Test Client. It provides access to reports for specific points in several formats: HTML, MHTML, PDF, TIFF, text, and Microsoft Excel.

The left pane of the Report Navigator Test Client dialog box shows all of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA reports in tree structure. The right pane presents the details of the selected report. The appearance of the right pane depends on the selected report.

Note: The Report Navigator Test Client Form can be found typically at %DNAInstallRoot%\Tools\bin\DNAReporter.exe.

To access reports through DNAReportViewer

  1. Navigate to %DNAInstallRoot%\Tools\bin\ReportNavigatorTestClient.exe.

  2. Double-click to open ReportNavigatorTestClient.exe.

    The Welcome to DNAReportViewer dialog box appears.

  3. In the Server URL field, enter the location of your report server; for example, https://elk64des.elksp4.local/ReportServer_OASYSHDB.

  4. Select one of the following:

    • Use Current User to use the user information that you logged onto your computer with.

    • Use Another User to specify a different user. If you select this option you need to fill in the Name, Password, and Domain fields with the information for the user you want to use.

  5. Select OK.

    If you selected Use Current User, the the User Information dialog box opens.

  6. Fill in the User Name, Password, and Domain fields, and then select Log On.

  7. Open the Windows forms that contains the Report Navigator control.

    The Navigator Test Form dialog box opens.

  8. Select the report you desire from the left pane. The details abut this report will appear in the right pane.

  9. Use the Report Format dropdown menu to select the format that you want your report to appear in.

    Note: If HTML is selected, a separate logon may be necessary.

  10. Modify the report parameters as desired.

  11. Fill in the information you want defined in your report.

  12. Select View Report.

    The specified report opens.
